Coulour-coding entries in calendar

Gentlemen

Here is a rather cryptic one

How do you change your setings/options/preferecnes/configurations such that when creating a new calendar entry in outlook you can select what kind of entry it is- eg appointment, phonecall, birthday, etc and thus colour code the entry depending on what type of entry it is

Help much appreciated
