Anyone encountered this message before?


Couldn't save. System is locked by User 'Admin' on
machine 'xyz'. The save Operation failed. Out of memory.

A single user is getting this message out of a group of 30
or so.

Driving me nuts. Have deleted the ldb file, but didn't
make any difference.

Advice welcome.
 
Probably You need to restart the PC.
When I meet this problem often I find an Access Process
still active in Task Manager, try to shut down this
process.

PC has been restarted quite a few times. The ldb file was
cleared on the server also.

But no joy.
 
I have encountered this when the user carries out an
operation that locks the records.

search? custom search or vlookup

Ensure that all users have RWDX permission on the folder where the mdb is.

You should also split the database; put the backend on the server, and give
each user a copy of the frontend (linked to the backend) on their computer.

That's unfortunate, because it is likely that your error will continue until
you split.
