Hi all, I have recently noticed something strange on my laptop. I am the only
one who uses my laptop (Acer 8104 Travelmate Windows XP) So I am the
Administrator. However, in the User Accounts, I noticed a User Accounts named
"Net.Macchine" with the Guitar picture beside it, So I deleted it but decided
to keep the files so I could have a look what this was about, but never could
find them. Then, I ran a Virus and Spyware scan (Norton 360) and I noticed a
file as follows
C: Chinese Characters.exe . Obviously Norton did not pick out this file, but
I definately know it does not belong to me. Then during a start up in
Safemode, I notice an Administrator Account with a Guitar picture and prompts
me for password, which I did not know, si Clicked on my Account and followed
through. In Safemode in The User Accounts, there was no sign of this "other
mysterious" account. Any help is very much apprecciated.....can't trust my pc
at the moment..... Thanks

This not a Virus or security issue on your machine, this can happen if you
installed an application or an update from Microsoft with Net Framework.
About the chine file/folder it could be one of the Extra languages on the
system or by the Printer, don't worry abut it.
What is the ASP.NET Machine Account?

Try to perform a system Restore before the deletion of the .Net Framework
account.
HTH.
