Could someone recommend a gaming ng to a newbie?

Hello
I am a pc power user and spend so much time at my desk I have decided to
venture into some Computer Gaming, but don't really know where to start.

I wonder if anybody could recommend a NG that is an ok place for a gaming
newbie. I have no gaming kit and no PC games and am interested in all kinds
of games.
