When using the macro to try to import an oracle table using odbc i get the
infamous
'could not find installable isam' error. I can import via the file /get
external data/import method. but I wanted to set up a macro to do it so it
could be automated.
I went thru the add/remove program/repair mechanism as suggested via one
of the articles, but it didn't help.

Did you find a solution to your problem. I am trying to execute a macro to
export a table to Oracle and I get the 'could not find insatallable ISAM '
error. As per micrisift articlt # 209805, I tried the options ut none work.

Please keep me updated of your progress.

What I had to do was get the full odbc connection that is used by access.
Find a linked table in your accesss database,
and then right click on it (get the properties) and you will see the entire
odbc connection, I then copied and pasted that into notepad, and then on the
macro there is spot for the database connection, and i pasted the connection
there, and it worked. Getting the entire odbc connection was a pain, thats
why i put it in a notepad file for further reference. I'm not 100% sure of
the exact steps, if you still have problems let me know.
