Could Not Detect Internet Conenction

It appears we are all having this problem at the same time. So this is not an
isolated problem. It's not our computers, nor our internet connection, it
must be Microsoft AntiSpyware Server or something.

When are we going to be able to connect to the internet to update the
antispyware software? This must be a server problem and it doesn't seem to be
fixed. Does Microsoft work 7 days a week 24 hours a day? I feel that we
should have round the clock protection.

Server problem
Try again in 48 hours.

Same problem here, I'm relieved (so to speak) to find out this is not a "me"
problem...

Here is the mesage I get when starting the update:

Version 1.0.701
AutoUpdater Status
Updating spyware definitions & software
"Warning, could not connect to the internet"

..... I hope the problem will be solved rapidly.

Identical problem experienced here, and as I've been away I feared the worst
re: my broadband connection, or a new glitch in the beta only just surfacing!
(Supplementary point: As this version expires at the end of the month, is
it worth waiting before upgrading?)

I have also been having a problem updating and recieve a message that it
could not detect an internet connection when I know for a fact that I was
connected to the internet.

Server was down. It seems to be fixed.

doesn't matter the new version is the same. Mine expires July 2006 and get
the same error message.
