costomizing shortcuts on desktop

I just purchased windows XP and and set up 3 accounts for
myself and my 2 children. I wanted to know if its
possible for each user to customize the shortcuts on his
desktop?

Yes, place such user-specific items in the C:\DOCUMENTS AND
SETTINGS\{userame}\DESKTOP folder where you keep those icons which you
want to have available in alle accounts in C:\DOCUMENTS AND
SETTINGS\ALL USERS\DESKTOP.
