Cost per page comparisons

Is there anywhere I can look for a simple cost per page comparison of
various printers. I am ready to buy a new printer and I usually print
100 pages a week. my current printer is a Deskjet 500c. I only use
black, never colour. Thanks.

For black only printing you will probably be much better served by a
small laser printer than by any of the new inkjets.

Laser printers have a higher initial cost but a very much lower cost
per page.

Here is a web page that seems to have pretty good information,
although their list of printer models is not that extensive.

Thanks for that. It looks like a small laser is the way to go (I never
could get the hang of refilling HP cartridges!).

Your best bet is a used LaserJet 4, 4+ or 5. These are super
printers, and go for very modest prices here in UK, so your cost per
page will surely be low. Look at Ebay or, better, email me - I can
supply.
