Hello,
first, my system specs:
- Albatron KX18D ProII Mainboard (capable of 200 MHz FSB)
- AMD Athlon XP 3000+ with 200 MHz FSB
- Corsair TWINX1024-3200LL RAM (2x512 MB), designed for 200 MHz
However, I experienced some trouble with Windows XP (blue screens, etc.) and
decided to test the memory. I downloaded a memory testing tool from here:
http://www.memtest86.com/ and it showed me that there are several memory
errors. When I set the front side bus to 166 MHz, these errors disappear.
I'm using the standard timings (2-3-2-6) as recommended by the manufacturer.
I tried to change the timings (higher), but it didn't solve the problem. I
also set the voltage to 1.8 V instead of 1.6 V - didn't help either. I
swapped the RAM sticks, with no effect.
What should I do?
Thanks
