Tomorrow, I will have to create the wmd file for a database I'm developing
for the third time because it has become corrupted for the second time (the
first time, there were so many variable results, I can't list them.) On
Friday the file was working properly -- letting several authorized users in
to test -- and by 2 pm, everyone was getting an error message about the
"Admin" account being in use.
When creating the file, I followed the steps outlined by Joan Wild and
others -- default Admin user is in the default User group, which has no
privileges. the affected users all have full privileges to the folder in
which the DB is located. The last time I created the file, I used the Wizard
to create users, but not the WG Info file. Should I not use the Wizard at
all. (Working in access 2002)
Can anyone offer suggestions about things to avoid doing that may corrupt
the workgroup info file? We are supposed to train staff Monday afternoon, and
I'm worried about presenting a defective product. Any help would be
appreciated.
