Today when I started Outlook I received an error message
that the personal files folder (outlook.pst) could not be
found and I was asked to open another pst file or create a
new pst file. I tried to open outlook.pst but I received
an error message "Cannot add Outlook-specific information
to the store."
I rebooted and tried to run Scandisk, which froze. Tried
again and same thing happened.
Since I could not open the existing PST file, I decided to
create a new one. After creating a new one, I then tried
to import data from the old one, but I received the same
error message as mentioned above.
It would appear that the original PST file is corrupted.
Is there any kind of repair utility that might let me
recover the information in the PST file? I have no backup
copy. Thank you for your help.
