corrupted prodile or ?

In the last few weeks INternet Explorer won't allow me to
access the tools options menu . It says ask the
Administrator. When I to to passwords I have already made
the user a member of the administrtators group with full
permissions. I have been told my profile may be corrupt.
Should I try to make a new profile or is there something
else I can do to correct this problem.
