Hi there,
It looks like during a reboot sequence my copy of ie6 was
corrupted. before the reboot I was able to lock the toolbars into what
ever setup I wanted and reopening ie they would still be in that setup.
now the number of toolbars has dropped and I cannot get the toolbar
setup to lock. I have tried to reinstall ie6 but the install process
says it cannot find the file IEXPLORE.EXE and I do not know where to
look for it. I have scanned the SP2 disk and the original XP
Professional disks that I have but the file does not seem to be on
them. Can anyone tell me where to find the file IEXPLORE.EXE.

Thank you.

Regards,
David

iexplore.exe is normally located in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer, but
I think we really need more information to help you.

Can you open Internet Explorer?
Did you actually install SP2?
Have you checked for spyware?

I checked in Belarc and it says that Service Pack 2 (build 2600) is
installed.
I have run Adaware and it did not find any significant problems.
The IEXPLORE.EXE file I am trying to find is an original one off one of
the Microsoft disks. I want IE to be as if it has just been installed as
part of windows and not had any toolbars or addons attached to it.
Thanks,
David C. Findlay

Not sure if this will help but here's what I found in the MS
