Hi,
My computer just hard reset itslef as i'm having a problem with a game.
when it came back on i found that i'd lost a whole load of folders from
outlook express 6. I had a look in the store folder and there are still .dbx
files with the names of the missing folders but when i copy them and then
try the "import messages" wizard it just doesnt show these folders at all...
I'm running windows 2000 and have a strong firewall and no virii can anyone
make a suggestion as to what i can try to fix it?
on the plus side this has made me realise the importance of regular backups,
and i will be making more of them in the futur!!

Move the "missing" files to a new folder. Then in OE create new folders with
identical names to those missing. Do not put anything in them. Close OE. In
Windows Explorer, copy the "missing" folders back to the OE message store.
When asked "do you want to overwrite" say yes. Open OE. The folders should
now be showing.
