Corrupted data exporting from Access to Excel?

A coworker is having problems on several PC's that won't export to Excel
properly. It's a table being exported to Excel(97-2000) format and the table
has roughly 16,555 records. The spreadsheet is taking values that belong in
column P & Q and putting them in columns N & O some of the time, but not all
of the time. But this is only happening on a couple of PC's. I can take the
exact same table and database and export it fine on my PC. On the PC's
having issues, one has Win2000 the other has Win XP. One has Access 2000 the
other has Access 2003. My PC is Win98 with Access 2000. I think it's
somehow Jet engine related or related to some settings on the PC's but we
can't figure it out. Could it be bad driver's or something like that? Any
help is greatly appreciated.

Nobody has seen this situation where Access is exporting data incorrectly to
an Excel spreadsheet?

Hi Jeff,

I have vague memories of a similar problem some years ago, which was
cured by a service pack. So the first thing to do is to make sure that
all the machines involved have the latest Office and Jet service packs.

Update: We figured out how to check which version of the Microsoft Jet
engine was installed on the machines and found some differences. So we
upgraded the 2 problem machines to a newer service pack release of the jet
engine and the problems look to be fixed. Thanks,
Jeff.

Thanks for the feedback.
