For some reason my backup procedure keeps failing when it attempts to access
a particular message in a particular user's mailbox. I asked the user to
delete it, but she was unable to. Logged in as her, I tried to delete the
message, but each time received a "unknown error" dialog. When I attempt to
move the message into another folder, it also says "unknown error".
Attempting to view the message in the preview pane or through OWA both fail.

Is there anyway to delete a specific message though an Outlook 2003 command
line switch?

end of line,

Hi Reed,

This message appears to be corrupted. There is no way to delete an Outlook
message from command line. For this issue, first of all, we need to know if
it is a message saved on the Exchange server or in the local PST file. This
helps us design the action plan to delete this message.

-- 1. If it is a message saved on the Exchange server, there is no way to
delete the message from Outlook command line. Outlook is just remotely
calling a function on the Exchange server to let the server delete the
file. If we failed to delete it from Outlook, we need to delete it on the
Exchange server. I would suggest you contact your Exchange server
administrator for assistance. If you need further assistance, you can post
into the Exchange newsgroup as Microsoft.public.exchange.admin

-- 2. If this file is saved in a local PST file, it is possible that this
file has been corrupted. In this case, we can try to use some utility to
scan and try to repair this file.

- Please backup your file prior to scan it. Also, not all the PST files
can be repaired.

Please let me know if this solves this issue or if you need further
assistance. I look forward to hearing from you.

This message is saved on the Exchange server side, so I'll move my question
over to there. Thanks for the help!
