Corrupt idodbc32.dll crashes XP

D

Dick Baker

I've discovered an evidently profoundly corrupt file:

c:\Program Files\Borland\Common Files\Bde\idodbc32.dll

Any attempt to put the Explorer pointer on it crashes WinXP completely --
no ctrl-alt-delete, you have to reboot. Same if I try to copy the file
from a command prompt. I don't even know what program installed it--I
don't have any Borland programs. Wild guess is that Borland Database
Engine came with Access 2000 in MS Office 2000, but I can't find the file
on the Office 2000 CD.

I haven't had any program crashes that I know of related to the file, or
any error messages about it. I discovered it was corrupt when Norton
AntiVirus crashed while trying to scan it.

Can somebody send me this file or point me to it? I couldn't find it at
borland.com. Thanks in advance...
