Corrupt font?

I've been using Windows since 1.0 and I think I've run into my first corrupt
font.

My XP installed Arial font seems to be stuck in the italic mode and all
attempts to "unitalicize it" are in vain.

Would someone help me in figuring out how to reinstall a single font?

Thanks to all.

Delete the font files from the FONTS folder and re-extract the files
from the Windows-CD with MSCONFIG.EXE.

Thorsten,

Thanks for the help.

I'm just a little bit (i.e., entirely) hazy about implementing it.

If you have the time could you kind of give me the broad strokes on how to
do this.

I'm ok with delete the fonts folder but the next step escapes me.

Thanks for the help.

Delete the defective files from the FONTS folder only, do not delete
the entire folder. Remember the name of the files you delete.
Start MSCONFIG.EXE and insert your Windows-CD. Press "Expand File" and
then follow the instructions.
