Corrupt Files

Can anyone help me open corrupt Word 2003 files from a floppy disk, I have tried open and repair and open with wordpad all without success. I can see the documents on the disk but just cant open them. Its so frustrating at its 2 months worth of coursework....HELP please
 
General rule of thumb.... always work from your hard drive -- do not open
or save files to the floppy. Once you save the file on the HARD DRIVE --
then copy it to the disk.

Have you tried copying them to the hard drive -- and then trying to open?
If not -- you should. May not help --but worth a shot!

Hi, Marg,

Sorry to say, I think that last message is precisely correct. The
content of the document has been so badly damaged on the floppy disk
that the operating system can't deal with it. I hope you had another
copy somewhere, possibly printed on paper.
