I am trying to uninstall a HP d series program and the
program will not remove itself. When I highlight the
program there are no options to remove it. I traced the
file that will not allow to be deleted and it is named
remind32exe. When I have tried to reinstall the program I
get a message that the program is already installed on
the computer and it will not allow me to overwrite it.
Any ideas on how to remove this program completely?
Thanks, JP

The remind.dll with which I am familiar is an executable that
automatically loads at startup and reminds the user to register a program
(say Corel Ventura).

To keep it from starting:
Navigate to Start All programs Startup and delete the entry there
for the program. Alas, I have forgotten the exact way it is listed but it is
usually obvious.

Restart windows. Try removing whatever HP software you wanted to remove.

Just to check- use Start Search to check for remind.dll.

I'm not altogether convinced that it is your problem. I would be interested
to know how it works out.
