I am just an end-user here and not a computer wizard, so I would greatly
appreciate your help.
I am experiencing some various quirkiness with my video editing software
(Vegas 6.0c) and particleIllusion 3.02. The developers at particleIllusion
suggested that I download a utility called 'code sniper' to see if my codecs
were ok. Well, it listed about 140 various files and all it listed were
either "OK" or "Broken". All was fine except for the following file:
"Class - DirectShow
Name - MPEG-2 Sections and Tables
Filename - %systemroot%system32mpeg2data.ax
FourCC - (blank)
Version - (blank)
Status - broken "
I have tried to search for that file on the net but I have come to the
conclusion that it might be a part of Directx 9.0. I ran 'dxdiag' and I do
have 9.0c installed (version 4.09.0000.0904). Could someone please help me
either repair that file or direct me to where I could download a
replacement? If replacing is even an option, could you tell me also the
procedures for doing so. I am in desperate need of my quirky programs listed
at the beginning of this.
Thanks,
Bob
