The background picture on my desktop is corrupted with a
segment of a web page pasted over it. I tried changing
the background picture and no matter what I put up it has
this 1" by 5" strip of web page pasted over it. I've run
Norton, disk defragmenter, and Spyhunter with no luck.
I'm using Windows XP. Any help would be greatly
appreciated!

You might try start>settings>control panel>display and look at the tab
marked "Web".

If there's a box for some web content checked uncheck it and see if that
removes the web page bits...

There's a couple of other ways to get to this - depends on the system -
right click on the desktop and select "Customize" might also get you to the
same place. That might also give you a menu item saying "Show web content"
or something similar which toggles on and off when selected. I think if you
experiment with these settings it may clear things up for you.

Thanks Charlie, that worked! Mark
