FYI, I've looked through the Knowledge Base topics and
didn't see this, so if I missed it, I apologize.

Upgrading from Win98SE to XP Home, during the first
reboot, message says setup can't continue because C: drive
is corrupt (Fat32, 12GB, 10GB free). Win98 runs fine.
Ran ScanDisk, had to turn off a bunch of background
processes b/c it kept restarting. Finally got good
scandisk, XP still gives same error. What am I doing
wrong?

Thanks!

Boot from your Windows XP cd.
Press "R" to enter recovery console when prompted.
When you get to a C: prompt type in the following and
press enter.

chkdsk /r

Let it do its thing. Once completed type exit to reboot.
If this doesnt solve your problem then most likey your
disk is corrupt.
