Corrupt Administrators Settings

Hi:

I can log in as an end user with administrator settings,
but when I log in as administrator the system hangs at
loading personal settings.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

try booting up in safe mode

try logging in as another user with admin rights and delete the bad
profile, settings etc will be lost but when you re log in as admin the
profile will be recreated, if worse comes to worst try loggin in under
safe mode
