I have a data disk (non-system) disk that's reporting
a "corrupt master file record" from chkdsk (NOT master
boot record). Anyway to fix this? I have Win2k SP4.

Yes I saw this, but this but ran into two problems:
- chkreg.exe link does not exist anymore
- article refers to a system disk recovery, which
in my case is NOT, just a data disk.

Is the disk still readable? Can you access all files & folders?

I have a demo copy of a recovery software, and yes it can see
the data; however, since the master file table is reportedly screwed
up, Win2k does NOT, and CAN NOT, see it.
