Subject: Corrected contact email address ignored by Window Mail?

Problem: A friend called, totally frustrated by the following Windows Mail
phenomenon; He entered a new contact email address. Later, he saw that he
had made an error, and corrected it. The corrected email address now shows
in contacts.

Problem is, when he creates a new email to this person, the 'system'
defaults to the incorrect address when he starts typing the name into the
'To:' line. If he goes into contacts and chooses the name, from the contact
list it is entered correctly? - Help appreciated - IM

The last 13-26 sent email addressees are saved in the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Recently Used Addresses

You can edit that key, but eventually the entries will be overwritten by later entries.
