Correct Remove Procedure?

I am of the opinion that, when MS AntiSpyware detects the presence of more
than one spyware program, it is best to remove detected spyware one at a
time by setting only one to Remove and setting the others to ignore and then
methodically removing one at a time.

I am also of the opinion that it is better to check the box to set a restore
point.

I came to this conclusion intuitively after a nasty experience removing a
half dozen or so and getting a blue screen in XP SP2 in late Jan.

Anyone have different opinions?

I've read through with some care a single log involving around 20 removal
operations.

Microsoft Antispyware does, in fact, complete removal of each individual
item seperately and sequentially. Whether there's a greater risk in
removing 6 items at once versus a single one, I don't know.

I think the real issue is the integrity of each individual removal
operation--perhaps the blue screen crash related to a single removal?

I guess that if you set a restore point, did a single removal, and then
tested for proper operation, you would be safest, but it would take a long
time to clear 20 items.
