Hi,

I recently built a new PC (thanx to the help from ACHPH guys out here).
I have a AMD Athlon 2500+ on a ASUS A7N8X DX mobo. The PC is working fine,
however at the start the processor speed it shows is AMD 1100MHz. Can
someone tell me if it's just a bios print error or do I actually need to
tweak the bios to get the normal speed (right now I don't have over clocking
on my mind :) ).

Thanks,
Ranjit

Not on a 2500+ It's a 333Mhz FSB Barton!

hey guys !
it worked, thanx.
I set the FSB to 166 and that showed the processor as 2500+.
setting the FSB to 133 showed 1900+.
thanx once again.

Hi,

You need to go into the BIOS and set the FSB to 166Mhz

Is that a BIOS only setting, or is there a jumper for 100/133/166 FSB on
that particular board? (I know, I should just go to the ASUS site and
look, but it's almost dinner time and I'm hungry)
