Corporate Rollout?

I'm pretty happy with MS Antispyware so far, and would
like to roll it out across our network. Is this OK? Is
Microsoft planning an enterprise version?

I would be against rolling out Microsoft AntiSpyware at such an early stage
in a production environment. The current beta does not fully support
features for central management and group policy and it is believed that
Microsoft is working on an Enterprise Edition just for your type
environment, so that is at worth waiting for. Remember beta 2 is not here
and would be more of an appropriate choice to start standardizing on.

No--it really isn't likely to be OK. your users will be able to block
administrative scripts, fur example.

Don't do it yet.

Yes, there is an enterprise version in the works, but no timeline announced.

Thanks for your help, guys. We don't currently have a
standard spyware solution installed, and I'm anxious to
get something out there. I'd hate to pay for and rollout
PestPatrol only to find the MS solution is cheaper and
better.

Patience is a virtue (sigh).

While you're waiting, you could always try some user education...and a few
GPO's to slow the volume down. :)
