All users are using Outlook XP SP2 and the server is running Exchange 2000
SP3. I have created and shared a new calendar for the company.

I have a few questions as to deployment:

1, How can I place this calendar on everyone's outlook bar?
2, Can I set reminders for certain people of certain events which are
due?
3, Can I incorporate this calendar and tasks on it into the personal
calendar and task list for each person?

Regards

Mark

1. To add the calendar to the Outlook Bar you need to first add the Shared
Mailbox to the folder list of each user. Make sure that the users have
Reviewer access to the mailbox of the Shared Calendar first. To give them
reviwer access you will need to add the mailbox to the folder list of
someone who has "Full Mailbox Access", then right-click "Outlook Today
Mailbox - Shared Mailbox" go to properties, select Permissions, then give
them the "Reviewer" permission. To add the Mailbox to the folder list go to
Tools, Email Accounts, click Next, click Change, click More Settings, click
the Advanced tab then add the Shared Mailbox. Now that the mailbox is in the
folder list, you can right-click the Outlook Bar and select "Outlook Bar
Shortcut" from the folder list you can select the Shared Calendar.

2. I am not aware of a way to configure reminders with that level of detail

3. This functionality is not native in Exchange 2000 or 2003. There may be a
third party utility.

Thanks for that Megan, I don;t think I was clear enough on point 1, I need a
way of automatically publishing it to 115 machines (these are users who
cannot be trusted to follow intructions!) can this be scripted through AD
or suchlike?
