OK -- this threat, supposedly set to be unleashed on 4/1, is making news.

Is there anything I need to do?

I keep Avira up to date. I use ZA and MBAB.

Should I do an extra scan on 3/31?

Any recommendations from the experts here?

It's "Conficker" ... notice the large number of hits for the correct
spelling. (I'm somewhat surprised of the number for the misspelling.)

Is your system software up to date? And in particular is the following
installed? What is the complete description of your OS?

Do you always practice safe hex? Without question, you should be using
something better than OE.
