Core Temp is a compact, no fuss, small footprint program to monitor CPU temperature.
The uniqueness of it is that it shows the temperature of each individual core in a each processor in your system! You can see in real time how the CPU temperature varies when you load your CPU.​



Intel and AMD recently published detailed, public information about the "DTS" (Digital Thermal Sensor), which provides much higher accuracy and more relevant temperature reading than the standard thermal diode sensors do. (How it works).​

This feature is supported on all Intel Core and Core 2 series of processors as well as the whole AMD's AMD64 line of CPUs. (for a full list of supported CPUs: (CPU Support List).​

Core Temp also has a logging feature, allowing a user to easily record the temperature of his processor(s) over any period of time, then the data can be easily transfered into an excel datasheet for easy graphing.​

Core Temp works on Windows 2000, XP and 2003 (both 32bit and 64bit versions).​

Been using this for a while shows temps about 10C higher than Everest . Heres a sample in the pic before I overclocked and after I overclocked by 5% . :D

need to apply a bit of thermal gunk to my CPU running rather warm at 70c @ half load. It's stable though.
 
Core temp rocks, been using it for a while. Great program.
Will grab the non beta version when i get home.

I thought I idled at 28 and fully loaded was 35

According to that I idle at 34/35 and fully load at 45.

Still not bad though for 25% overclock.
 
Core temp is regarded as the most accurate program. I would go with that.

Where did you get the other readings from?

...and yes, good temps. :)
 
Well the idle is from bios on startup.

Can't get much more idle than that :p

I think I got the load temp from the old version of Everest. The new one won't do it for some reason.
 
I've been using CoreTemp for some time, using both 0.95 and the previous 0.94 versions - its excellent, but one thing to be aware of is that there have been reports of 0.95 crashing systems, particularly when left running in the system tray for a while - I have experienced it on some of my computers too - I have now gone back to 0.94 for stability reasons.

The temps are registering 76 deg C and 72 deg C respectively for each core....

I hope that is wrong ... PLEASE tell me that is wrong ... that is tooo HOT ... please shut down any 'crunchin' on this PC.

Sorry TC, don't want to scare you, we need to investigate that temp reading ... the max recommended by AMD is 70C

Please download Speedfan or one of the other Temp monitors and double check these readings.

I hope thats wrong with that cooler you have but core temps is usually very accurate.

If its right then someone may have botched the hsf install. :(

Hmmm - have switched off BOINC and temp instantly dropped to 50 C and 49 C respectively

Well, that tells me the HSF is either incorrectly fitted or, not up to the job intended. That is the temp I would expect to see while running WCG.

Not much you can do but contact Pcspecialist ... :(

Even under full load and stock cooler most Athlons won't go too far above 50.

Problems :(
 
My E6600 sits at about 36-40 on full load @ stock. :D
 
Hmmm.... since closing BOINC :( I kept an eye on the temps whilst just surfing around last night, and they seemed to stay around the high forties and low fifties C. Compared to you guys, that is high. Still waiting for a reply from the vendor about it at the moment.
