Recently purchashed a PC Line cordless kb and mouse. The mouse cursor had a
mind of its own so I returned the unit and accepted a replacement. The
replacement is a lot better but still has a tendency to jump around by
itself. The shop said it could be radio interference causing the problem.
Would a wireless router be capable of doing this? That is the only thing I
have in or around the PC location which generates RF.

TIA

I could not tell you about the PC Line product but I have several. 2
Logitecs,Targus,an HP and a MicroSoft that all work fine with no signs of RF
interference in a room with many computers and other sources of possible RF
interference. Other than trying to change a channel on the mouse I would say
try another well known brand. The HP I bought a Big Lots for $10.00 and has
been working for several months and never changed the battery once. Others
are battery eaters. You could keep the KB and only replace the mouse as I
have done in some cases.

It may be because its just a 'cheap and cheerful' mouse, it wasnt expensive
so I guess you get what you pay for. I may just go back to my old wired
mouse... appreciate the response.

I highly recommend the wireless optical as I have switched back and forth
many time and settled with the USB Wireless Optical. Never seems to need
cleaning and even if you don't remember to turn it off it can last quite
sometime. I would get one that uses AA batteries instead of AAA for longer
life.
