I got a M$ cordless mouse and keyboard 1000 set.

The installation guide says that I must install the
software CD "before" hooking up the mouse and
keyboard. If I have to install software before the
my system can recognize them, how will I be able to
do a clean install of windows ?

Do I have to hang onto the old "wired" keyboard
and mouse just so I can install the operating system,
and the mouse/keyboard install CD ? Or will my system
recognize the wireless devices during post ?

I need to do a clean install of windows xp, that is
why I an asking this.

Thanks for your help
Mike

The KB/mouse may very well function without the drivers. Try it. If not,
use the wired pair for the initial install.
