Copyright symbol won't go away

A user is trying to print column headings that are
capitalized letters in parentheses. Excel automatically
changes (C) to the copyright symbol. How do we prevent
it from doing that?

Dave,
It's an autocorrect issue
Go "Tools" -> "Autocorrect"
find the (C) to copyright symbol and delete it

Go to Tools>Autocorrect Options to get rid of that reference.
