Copying Word tables into PowerPoint

I normally copy Word tables into PowerPoint by: Edit/Paste Special/Microsoft
Office Word Document Object. However, sometimes when I do this the tables
comes up with "Article XI ..." before the text in every cell. Double
clicking sometimes rectifies this but sometimes it won't. Is there a setting
in Word or Powerpoint that I need to change?
 
This sounds like something rare and unusual, which is not the answer that
you wanted to hear, I'm sure.

I have not heard of this happening before, so it may be a slightly botched
install or tad of corruption in a file. If this bothers you, you may want
to do a detect and repair on office (http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00021.htm), or
round-trip the PPT and DOC thru HTML (for versions prior to 2007) to trim
out the nasty bits (http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00526.htm).
