This question has probably been asked but I'll take
another shot. Is there a way to copy files using Windows
Remote Desktop (like programs such as gotomypc, vnc, pc-
anywhere)?

You can just use the RDP client. when you connect to the remote pc
just select "disk drives" on the Local Resource tab. After you connect
to the remote pc you'll be able to access the remote and local drives
in the RDP session in Windows Explorer...

Thanks. I found the "Local Devices" and checked it and
logged in. So I went to Windows Explorer on the remote
computer but I couldn't find anything that would let me
connect to the local computer from there. Similarly, I
went to the Windows Explorer on the local computer but
couldn't find anything that would connect me to the remote
computer. So I went back to the remote computer, right-
clicked on a file, copied it and then came back to the
local computer, right-clicked on the desktop and
chose 'paste'. But I get this error "cannot copy file:
cannot read from the source file or disk". Please give
more specific instructions on how to copy and paste.

Thanks.

You should be able to see the local hard drives of the machine you
connect to plus your drives labeled "C on tsclient", etc.

Note that this can be disabled via Group Policy and file redirection
doesn't work with Win2K servers...

I've found the disk drives, but I can't check it. Its disabled..

Anyone know how to enable it?

thanks M

If this is disabled, I would expect that this has been done through policy
settings. If your machine is in an environment where such policy settings
are made, we aren't going to be able to help you reverse that--it's a
corporate thing.

Specifically, the policy settings can be found:

Start, run, GPEDIT.MSC
Computer configuration
Administrative Templates
Windows Components
Terminal Services
Client/server data redirection
