A kind of stupid question from a total techno-peasant. I
have Windows XP. I have high-speed dial-up web access,
using MS Explorer as the engine. I am using the web for
job search. On employers' web sites, they ask for your
resumé to be pasted into your on-line application. I go
to my documents and copy. I go back to the employer's
site but am denied access to the "paste" command.

Please help .... I'm obviously not copying to the correct
place, but I'm kind of lost here. Many thanks.

Hi Brian-
Are you copying the file or the text within the file? Most employer's want a text version of your resume pasted in so you would need to open the document in your word processing application, select the appropriate text, and then select copy.

Best of luck in your job search.
