Hello everyone,

Does anyone know how to copy a section of a CD audio
track but not all of it using Window's Media Player? I
have a song that I would like to record but it is a
hidden track on a CD. To copy the song I would have to
record everything on the track (the previous song, 1
minute of dead air, and the hidden track). Any advice?

Thanks!
Clint

You can't. You need a wave editor. http://www.goldwave.com will do the job
admirably. Rip the CD track + the dead air + the hidden bit and then using
the wave editor cut out the superfluous bits.

Cheers,
Jerry

If you have any way of ripping it to your hard drive (I
believe copying the track will do) you can edit it with
Windows Sound Recorder if you are using Windows.
Good luck,

Yes but if I remember correctly, Sound Recorder only allows up to 1 minute
of recording ??? Anyway, there are other wave editors, freebies, on the web.
Do a Google search. BTW, you need to rip the track, not copy it - it won't
work. Use AudioGrabber or CDex - ones paying, ones free.

Chers,
Jerry
