Copying Slides from one presentation to another w/o changing backgrounds

Hi there
My questions is this. I would like to copy slides from one presentation to another and keep the background of the slide being copied the same. Currently, every time that I copy a slide and paste that slide into the new or another existing presentation it automatically adopts the background of the presentation it is being copied into. (master background). Any suggestions or will I always have to make the modifications to newly copied slide

Roland,
You need to mention which version of PowerPoint is in use. PPT2002 and later
supports multiple templates which makes this possible. In earlier versions
you will need to fake it.
