Hi

I have recently had problems transferring my music files on to a small MP3
player using an DS card.
Some files have copied but my MP3 player states "No music" when I come to
play.
On other occasions some of the files will copy whilst others with the same
format will not.

Am I missing something important?

What make of mp3 player ? Does it have its own transfer software ?

My Phillips has a DRM system and you have to transfer to it using specific
software. If I simply transfer files from using Windows Explorer, without
the use of that software, then I end up using my player as a hard disk, and
its hardware won't be able to read the mp3 files as they don't have the
necessary DRM tags attached.

In other words, if you have specific software to transfer files, then you
have to use it.

If you don't, then you may have to re-do the mp3 tags so that your player
can identify the songs. This one is free :

Any help ?

Cheers,
