copying my contacts folder

I reformatted and installed XP and office 2007 on a different hard drive. I
still have the previous version of 07 on the other hard drive. I'm trying to
move my contacts folder to the new install. I did a file search for
"outlook.pst" found it is a hidden file, copied it to the new drive. My
problem is in the new install in "my computer" when I open the directories
"documents and settings and my user name", the local setting and application
data do not appear. I want to copy my old contacts folder overtop of the new
one. I can't seem to figure out how to get those sub-directories to appear
so I can access the files
