I am new to Media player and have just started to
experiment copying my own cds to blank discs for use in
the car. I copied a few tracks on to a CR-R80 and it
worked fine. I then went back to copy more and the media
player simply says I am not using a blank cd so won't
allow me to use the remaining 90% of the disc space. 2
questions: is there a way round this? and if not, am I
right in presuming that using a RW-CD will solve the
problem? TIA

Most home/car CD players will NOT play RW discs. They will play audio CDs
(CD-R) but generally only if you have "closed" the disc, which prevents you
from adding other tracks at a later date. So your best solution is probably
to create an "audio" CD using CD-R media, and fill it up with music the
first time you burn. A "closed" audio CD will not be recognized as a blank
by your burning software.

.CD-R is a one time use even if recored one song you
just wasted a 80 minute cd. I tryed CD-RW one time they
din'nt work on my radio or my X-Box.

Thanks Louie. Learning the hard way again :-(
