Copying HTML to Word Doc.

Running Office Home 2002.

When I tried to copy an interesting paragraph from an online text only
article to a Word doc, the copy and paste was successful, but the BG (that
should be white) is now gray. Is there a way to correct this to make the BG
white? The original text article was black font on a white BG.
