HELP!

I just purchased and installed Outlook 2002. I have set
up an email account linked to Hotmail in Outlook.

I see the Hotmail folders and the contents of the folders
in the Outlook view Window.

What steps do I need to take to setup folders in Outlook
and then copy / move the messages in the Hotmail folders
to Outlook folders on my PC?

I have set up a folder in the root of the Outlook folder
for my *.pst folders.

Thank you for your assistance!

Those folders for Hotmail *are* in Outlook, just in a different local
information store (i.e., .pst file). See
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;300593 and
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;321994. Rules
don't work on HTTP e-mail accounts so you cannot use them to
automatically move your incoming e-mails when they get yanked from the
server. Have you tried to simply select which e-mails you want and then
dragging them to another folder?
