My C:\ drive on my PC is acting up. I have been working
and 3 times last week it said disk not accessible. This
drive was very complex in setting up (and getting it
right) the first time. To avoid this again, I am trying
to do a copy of the hard drive to another hard drive. My
problem is the new drive won't boot afterwards. I have
tried WD's lifeguard and XCOPY also.

I would appreciate any help.

Please supply more details:

- What type of partition do you have, FAT or NTFS?
- Is the new partition set to "active"?
- Does LifeGuard copy hidden files & folders?
- Were there any errors during the copy process?
- Do you have a valid MBR (Master Boot Record)?
- How far does the boot process go?
- What error message (if any) do you see?
- When you boot your machine with a Win98 boot
disk, can you see your files on drive C:?
(you may need to load ntfsdos.exe)
