I have a PDF file on our 2003 server. I want to copy it to everybody’s
desktop. I have put the copy command into the logonscript.bat file on the
server. The successfully copies the file when the user logs in.

However, when you try to open the file Adobe reader says there's a problem
with the file.

If I manually copy the same file it opens fine.

Why would the automated version not work? Or is there a better way to do this?

We created a shortcut to a file that we wanted on the desktop and
copied that vs. copying the file itself. We didn't run into permisson
or file problems with that.
