Hi, I recently built a new computer and sold the old one as parts.

The new motherboard is serial ATA HD and I am taking my old IDE and connecting to the IDE on the new computer below DVD-R.

The old IDE HD had Windows on it and I'm trying to access my main folder, only it says access denied.

It's just a folder..

I:/documents and settings/"myusername"

but Windows won't let me access it. I can access all other folders including administrator.

Is there a 'chmod' function I can use somehow?

Any ideas anyone?

I would be really grateful for any help as I need to get my GFX files off the old drive!

The new PC is an Intel E6600, 2GB DDRII 667mhz, NVidia 7950GT with 945G-DVI motherboard but I don't imagine spec makes a difference here..!?

I sorted it myself already -changing ownership rights through the security panel in the directory properties after disabling simple file sharing.

:)
