Our Windows 2000 server hosts an ServU FTP server. My wife maintains some
files and brings them home by using FTP to send them from the office.
She noticed today that when she copies the file from our server to her
Windows XP machine across our LAN that the file is corrupted. We verified
this by plugging a memory stick into the server and copying the file
directly from the server and then walking the stick to her XP machine. The
file was fine. This occured with a number of MS Access MDF files, about
25meg in size each.
I haven't dug too deep yet, so I can't say if it's a certain type of file or
any file in general, but it's not a pleasant thought that the files I've
dumped onto the server recently might be damaged.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to what might be causing this to occur? Any
thoughts as to where I should start troubleshooting?
Thanks!
