Copying distribution lists

I would like to be able to copy (and save under a new name) distribution lists so that I can modify the list (delete some individuals) and be able to use the original list as well as the modified list. I can't find a way to do this without typing the individuals' email addresses in all over again. (You can sort of get around this by "resending" a prior message that went to the distribution lise and then modifying the names in the "To" box but it seems like there should be a more straightforward way.)

Drag and drop the distributionlist out of Outlook onto your desktop. Open
the file, edit the name and choose Save and Close. Then drag and drop the
file back into Outlook
